City of Heroes gives characters missions like in other MMORPG such as retrieving info from computers, cleaning up the streets of Paragon City from super powered thugs and the like. Combat is much like other MMORPGs in that it is turn based but it feels more like an action game than other games of this type and we found that so far there isn't as much tedium with the combat. It also helps that the game simply looks great; City of Heroes is one of the few MMORPGs that's set in a world that's close to our own in terms of looks and the city streets and interiors are really great looking. Super hero powers and effects and character models are impressive as well.
