Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II Review

The Adrenaline Vault has posted a review of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, giving the action RPG an overall score of 3.5/5. Their conclusion to follow:
Dark Alliance II ultimately takes one step backward for every step forward, failing to legitimately improve upon the first title in the way that a sequel should. Additional equipment and spells are nice, and the characters are now much more versatile, but design and pacing problems abound. The original Dark Alliance moved along at a brisk pace, never allowing itself to become bogged down by boring, monotonous levels; Dark Alliance II forgets this by allowing portions of the adventure to become incredibly uneven. Still, most fans of the original should find enjoyment, providing that they can push through the later portions of the game, but everyone else would probably be better off holding out to see if Snowblind can deliver with Champions of Norrath.
