Simply put, Lords of Everquest is wasted potential. While Everquest veterans and fans alike will undoubtedly be pleased with this addition to the Everquest lineup, others will find only the remains of what could have been an outstanding game. Brain-dead AI issues force players to compromise micromanagement in order to preserve their strategy, something players shouldn't have to do. Visually however, LoE is at the top of the heap, exhibiting phenomenal detail in all characters and terrain. In conclusion, LoE is one of those like it or hate it type games. Where it will please some, it continues to disappoint others. Our thanks to SOE for providing a review copy.
