MMORPGs in 2004

IGN PC has put together a detailed list of all the MMORPGs coming out this year to help us decide which ones to take a closer look at. Included in the list are titles such as City of Heroes, EverQuest II, Guild Wars, Middle-Earth Online, Mythica, World of Warcraft, and many others. Check it out:
The hugely successful RTS series comes to persistent state worlds with Blizzard's upcoming World of Warcraft. Blizzard is known for releasing perfect products with superior gameplay and quality and fans are expecting the same with World of Warcraft. In a genre plagued by games released before they are ready, poor customer service and lots of bugs, will Blizzard raise the bar? Only time will tell.

World of Warcraft is set four years after Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos in the land of Azeroth. It promises dynamic content that will change monthly and a deep world filled with lore. There are eight known races to choose from, divided into two groups, the Alliance (Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes) and the Horde (Orcs, Tauren, Undead and Trolls). 9 classes, epic quests, dungeons, beautiful locations and more are planned as the game rapidly heads toward release. Closed beta recently began.
