It is rather hard not to recommend KotOR, as it does nearly everything well, but some may have some qualms about it. The length may be one such issue, the game can be easily beaten in 30 hours the first time through, and twenty hours or less (Northernlion has beat it in 14) on subsequent play throughs. It is also rather hard to do everything on the first time round, so several play throughs are needed to get the full experience. Another reason to play through more than once is the multiple endings, there are two main endings and two subtle variations. Each play through is a different experience because the choices you make largely affect the gameplay, if you have the system I recommend this game. But if not, don't bother because it is sometimes unplayable on the best of systems and the family Dell will explode under the pressure.
