Legends of Aranna Reviews

Another pair of reviews for Gas Powered Games and Mad Doc's Legends of Aranna have hit the web. The first is at Gaming Illustrated where they've given the expansion an overall score of 92%:
Ok there is one part of the initial adventure that is really a load of fun for you H.R.Giger fans. and that is down in the basement looking for the Staff of Stars (your first real quest). After building my 3 characters up (your fourth companion joins after this quest is completed), I ran into the Queen's Lair (sounds a lot like ALIENS). Seems that this big QUEEN thing is crapping out one or two mutant monsters every 30 seconds just about the time it takes to kill one or two mutant monsters! While it does wonders for building stats up (as a side note, you can't stay there forever building up your characters there is some limit built in), you eventually have to hack your way to the ass of the QUEEN and kill that end before you take her (head on).

And the second is at Gamer's Depot with an overall score of 4/6:
All in all, Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna is a nicely done add-on pack. With no lack of game time, the original game included, several enhancements to the interface and a host of new toys to play with and monsters to duke it out with, there's something here that will satisfy both vets and newcomers. The graphics engine, while definitely solid, is nothing to shout about these days, but it's still overall a good looking title with lots to offer in the fun department, and will do a wonderful job of easing the pain of waiting for Dungeon Siege 2 to hit the shelves.
