Riftrunner Peek of the Week #14

The fourteenth installment of RPGVault's "Peek of the Week" feature for the upcoming Divine Divinity sequel is now available. This time, Larian's Lynn Vanbesien talks about how a burned forest level was built for the game. An excerpt:
In the past few weeks, I was busy with creating the ashen forests that you may have seen in some screenshots lately. Burned trees and branches, dead plants, huge dark and little rocks, and skeleton parts were the graphics I could play around with. So far, this was one of the areas I loved the most. When I was done, we noticed that somehow, it was all rather dark. Therefore, we decided to add some lava splits into the ground to make it a little more colourful (and naughty for the player ;)) and misty clouds covering the burned trees were added as well. All of this, together with some dark spooky music, gives an extreme atmosphere. I am already looking forward to play in this part - hope you are too! ;)
