The tenth installment of RPGVault's "Peek of the Week" feature for the upcoming Divine Divinity sequel is now available. This time, Larian's Yann Popo talks about how the Stoning skill came to have its rather unusual form. A snippet to follow:
Two weeks ago, I explained how to create effects with the help of the particles engine. However, I must admit that there is another method - a secret one known by only a relatively small few number of followers, all dedicated to the worship of illiteracy.

Before we started to code skills, designers give us a list of which ones would be necessary to implement in the game. Considering the wild imagination they showed off, it was clear that they wouldn't have to program the skills themselves (follow my glance towards Bronthion). So, I began my work... and suddenly, I stopped on the Stoning skill. Hmm stoning, stoning, what was that... and it is precisely at that time that my poor English level acted on my comprehension.
