Star Wars: KotOR Review

Gamer's Pulse has tossed up a review of Star Wars: KotOR, giving the Xbox title an overall score of 47/50. Here's something to get you started:
Each major game element bears an originality yet in line with previous Star Wars themes; a unique orchestral soundtrack meshes original scores with John Williams' indelible classics; the games visual design paints objects that, while divergent, bear apparent lineal relation to ships and technology present in the films. Most importantly, the story doesn't simply play necessary compliment, but is the driving animus. All of these elements coalesce to convey an experience that is concurrently Star Wars and something else. KOTOR is not simply another franchise-supported derivative; it stands as an original vision, independently justified - an RPG for the masses and the few. Considering these points, I'll submit that no previous franchise title bears the moniker '˜Star Wars' quite as well as Knights of the Old Republic.
