At first I thought I was missing something with Morrowind. Several fans and some co-workers think it's the best PC RPG in years. They kept telling me how cool its expansive world was, and how beautiful the graphics were. What I saw was an overwhelmingly large world sorely lacking any sense of cohesiveness with some pretty nasty character models. Now I think several aspects of Morrowind's world are really cool, and I appreciate that its open-ended nature, but there's something missing that would bring it all together. Most of the game's graphics are quite beautiful, but the character models seem incongruous with the rest of the game.
