Temple of Elemental Evil Journal #4

RPGVault has posted the fourth installment of their Temple of Elemental Evil Journal feature. This time, Troika's Sean Craig talks about some of the problems in the gaming industry and how he feels about turn-based combat. Check it out:
If only the absolute best games made money, and the rest didn't, there would be less of a problem. Everyone would try really hard for that brass ring, and sometimes people would make it and sometimes they wouldn't. The frustrating and disturbing thing is that this isn't always the case. There are a lot of great games that don't make a profit, and a lot of average or below average games that become hits. Now, I'm not one to say that the good people who make the Barbie games or Myst don't deserve some green, but it seems like in an ideal world they would have to wait in line behind No One Lives Forever and Ico.
