Ten Days of DragonLance Finishes

Maximus of Neverwinter Vault let us know that their "Ten Days of DragonLance" feature has come to a close today. For the final day, they've released a sewer tileset, a new movie trailer, screenshots, and an interview with Astorax, the group's lead scriptor. Topics of the interview include his work on the BioWare forums, his background, scripting the single player elements, the multiplayer systems, the new overland map concept, and more. Check it out:
Q: Does the game have to be played by the DL Heroes like Raistlin or Tanis, or can people play their own characters too?

A: Yes. The game is primarily designed for the DL Heroes and we have custom modeled them and will include their bics with the mod. You get some cool visuals from this you don't otherwise get - you get quivers and special armor, open faced helms and a certain wizard in Red Robes, etc.. Each with their own voice set.

The mod assumes that the party will be composed of the DL heroes - or someone LIKE the DL heroes. If you want to play your own character and otherwise meet the level and stat requirements of the module, you are assigned a DL Hero Token in the module lobby.

Essentially, all Hero Tokens are creature skins that are given to the player when they enter the module and forced equipped upon starting the game. Without one, the player won't be allowed out into the game world and many of the game dynamics won't work. I've designed most of the multiplayer elements, rather than cycling through all available PC's in the game - it cycles through the owners of the various player tokens and does things to them. So you might be wearing a "TanisToken" or a "RaistlinToken" for example, and the game treats you accordingly.
