Morrowind Interview

eToychest has conducted an interview with Bethesda's Pete Hines, asking several questions about Morrowind: Bloodmoon and the changes it brings to the original game. Here's a taste:
Q: Nord characters have had a notoriously hard time advancing in the main storyline because of the population domination by the Dark Elves. Will the tables be turned in this expansion? Will there be tension between the two? The people on the mainland seemed wholly uninterested in the affairs of Mournhold. Will they be more agitated now that the Nordic land is open to the public?

A: Solstheim is an untamed wilderness with lots of different creatures and tribes of Nords. The Imperials are trying to build up a mining colony to tap into Solstheim's resources. They are all involved with the main plotline. We don't explore racial conflict as much simply because everyone is trying to survive on the island. We wanted to get away from the political themes in Tribunal and go back to (powergamer heaven) a brand new island with lots of creatures and dungeons and loot.
