E3 Roundup @ IGN

The people at IGN have put up Part One of their E3 roundup, with short summaries of a few of the games they saw. Here are a couple bits from that article:
Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide

A joint effort of BioWare and FloodGate Entertainment, Shadows of Undrentide seems set to offer everything a fan could reasonably expect - a single-player adventure with some interesting new class options and feats plus three additional tilesets and lots of monsters, spells et all to expand the mod makers' arsenal. You should remember it's an expansion pack and set your expectations accordingly. However, look for it to be a very solid, polished one that will provide a lot of play value long beyond the initial play-through.

World of Warcraft

Producer Mark Kern, whom I'd met last year, seemed very happy with the progress of this eagerly awaited game since that time. From what was shown, he had good reason; there were many more areas, characters, monsters, etc., etc. - all showing Blizzard's usual attention to detail. The company still isn't giving out any indication of when the game might be ready for beta or release, but if the difference between a year ago and now is any indication, we can at least hope they're not too far off.
