Ray Muzyka & Greg Zeshcuk Interview

Another interview with BioWare's Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk has hit the web, and this time it's over at Xbox Canada. In it, Ray and Greg answer questions about how the two of them met, how they feel about developing games for the Xbox, why Canada has so many great game developers, and more. As usual, an excerpt:

Q: What's the biggest trend you see in Gaming....online? voice activation? complexity and depth?

Ray: For me, the best games of the future will have increased complexity of the game worlds and, simultaneous with this, a simplification of and even elegance in the interface through which you explore these more dynamic, immersive worlds. In other words, the best video games in the future will allow you to do and explore more things, but the gameplay will also be much more intuitive. This can occur in single- and multiplayer games alike, and the increased complexity can be reflected by better graphics, voice, increased numbers of player characters to interact with, and/or improved artificial intelligence.

Greg: I'm particularly interested to see how multiplayer gaming will develop on the console platforms (with Xbox being the technology leader). Console multiplayer gaming should have a very different dynamic from the PC experience, and I can't imagine how it's going to turn out. You can bet we're going to be watching the console multiplayer gaming space very closely.
