The city of Almecka, which was the city that the Burning Legion founded near Semujin as a forward outpost, was now under the firm control of Kirel Redhand and the Redemption guild. Kirel was named the city leader of Almecka after his defection from the Covenant of Swords, but the Burning Legion ensured that they installed a loyal supporter, Elghin the Mad, into the ruling council of the city to keep an eye on things. Shortly after taking over, Kirel began to publicize his city and attempted to attract more of a population base so that the city would grow.
