Instead of providing a great game, BioWare has produced a package and told the community to go and create a great game. It means that Neverwinter Nights is going to require commitment, it means that the game relies on a strong community. Fortunately it has one, and already ambitious projects have been announced such as a remake of the original Pool of Radiance. BioWare has to strongly support this community itself or it could easily become a horrible mess, their community site shows they have the right intentions but only through long term dedication such as supporting and distributing the work of builders will the true potential of the game be reached.
