    Canadian game developer shoots and scores big in a number of arenas.

    EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada - March 01, 2002 - BioWare Corp. is pleased to announce that Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal was named the Computer Role Playing Game of the Year by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) last night at the Fifth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards in Las Vegas. The AIAS achievement award event recognizes outstanding achievement in interactive content and in the interactive community. This recognition is the 3rd time in the 5-year history of the awards that BioWare’s games have been honoured, twice in the Role Playing Game of the Year category.

    Also last night in Calgary, Alberta, BioWare received the Employer of Youth Award of Distinction at the prestigious Alberta Business Awards of Distinction ceremony - hosted by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce. The award recognizes employers of youth, who provide growth in the workplace through training and education.
