Morrowind Press Release & Interview

Bethesda Softworks has issued a press release announcing that Lynda Carter, best known for her starring role as television’s “Wonder Woman”, has agreed to do voice-overs for Morrowind.

Even though the press release was issued today, GameSpyDaily has already conducted an interview with Lynda about her role in the game. Here's a snippet:

GameSpyDaily: How did you get involved with the game Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind?

Lynda Carter: I had no prior experience with the development of games. But my husband is the Chairman of ZeniMax Media, which is the parent of Bethesda Softworks, so I had the opportunity to learn about and see Morrowind as it was being developed. So I had seen the game during its development and thought it was fantastic. Now I certainly don't profess to be an experienced gamer, but since my kids love games, I had purchased and looked at a number of the latest titles during the last several years. I thought the Morrowind artwork was just outstanding, the best graphics I had seen in a game. The whole setting and concept - seeing another world with its own exotic cultures and influences - was terrific. When the Morrowind development team started casting for actors to do the voice-overs, they asked me if I would consider doing it, and I was more than happy to get involved. Though I have been in the entertainment industry for years, I had never done voice-over work for a game before and I thought it would be fun.
