Another DAoC Interview

The Camelot news continues with an interview on Barshemm.com with Sanya Thomas of Mythic Entertainment, answering many questions players have with possible gameplay issues such as this one:

Q: Is there any plans to balancing the realms as far as number of players is concerned. For example, will it be possible for a single server to have 3,000 players in Midgard, 1,000 players in Hibernia, and 1,000 players in Albion. This is a realm vs. realm concern of mine.

A: These problems tend to be self-correcting - if a realm is overly crowded, people leave or level very slowly. Our soft cap is 3K players per server, and so far when I look at the server numbers, every server is balanced out pretty well. We will have NPC assistance on the frontiers for realms that are understaffed (if the situation comes up), however.
