Top 50 Games of All Time Continued

The third day of GameSpy's "Top 50 Games of All Time" names a few RPGs, including the MMORPG Asheron's Call and one of my favorites and all-time classic, Wizardry I: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord. Here's a bit of what they had to say about the original Wizardry:

In 1981, AD&D style roleplaying was a popular pastime for college geeks across the country, but this activity was largely limited to the realm of real world gamebooks, dice, and pewter figurines. However, Robert Woodhead and Andrew Greenberg had an idea that would finally bring true fantasy role-playing to personal computers, and in 1981 the results of their work was unleashed onto the Apple II as Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord. Wizardry allowed players to roll up a party of six unique characters, and then take them down into the dungeon of the mad wizard Werdna (yep, that's "Andrew" backwards!).
