It's ALIVE!

After a rough round of bitter posts by a pack of rabid knee-biting Gnomes, Doug "Dark Jedi" Shuler posted on the Dev Board to shed some much needed light on the Horizons development cycle. Once again, a small post here and there has stirred the old Dev Board into a veritable posting frenzy. Check out some of the highlights below:

Doug commented on the previously released City of Dael concept art. Here's a snippet:

The Elves are unique amongst the races of Istaria in that they use a strange rock they came across many generations ago. This rock, which is assumed to have fallen from the stars in the form of meteorites, is unusually receptive to arcane powers....

Doug also replied briefly to a fan question about how the concept art team is doing and what they are currently working on. Here is the complete quoted post:

We're all here and chugging away. The team is now 4 strong, and we're each tackling different parts of concepting the world for different modelling teams. We just finished designing the final look of the gods, and have now split up into different arenas; Ron Spencer is almost done with the mounts, while Anthony Waters continues to paint marvelous panoramas of cities. Marylee Bryning is currently working on the infrastructure of the races, such as tables, chairs, and every-day items. I'm doing some finishing work on Demons and Giants, then I'm off to work on fashions.
Lots to do here. VERY cool place to work, BTW

Hopefully this means AE is going to start releasing more of their concept work as well as some world history. I have seen numerous posts by eager fans awaiting world history so the really good fiction and history fillers can be written.
