Further on we were told that Funcom will make "events" during the course of the game much like it has been done in Asheron's Call. The game will last for 4 years, and the developers will work hard on creating an immense storyline throughout the 4-year period. They may also pick out certain players that will have the lead role in some of the events.
Take the 4 year date with a grain of salt. If the game is ultra successful for 48 months, they'd most likely keep it past the 4 year mark. =)
