Naturally, as your characters gain levels and experience, new spells and abilities become available - about 40 in total, by most accounts. 9th level Cleric spells include some ridiculously high-powered stuff, such as Wish and Storm of Vengeance. Warriors also get some cool new tricks like the Whirlwind attack. A downside to all this importance and high level funky-dinkery is that new players are going to find it very tough to get into. After about an hour's play, you'll find yourself setting up a party of 16th level fighters and wizards, which can get a tad complicated to say the least, although you do get some very nice kit if you start a new character.
