Dungeon Siege also lets you do something that is probably the hardest thing to do in any RPG, be it computer or pen and paper--you can split up the party. If you've got a load of equipment to sell, why send everyone back? Why not load up your pack mule (yep, a pack mule--a dedicated inventory animal), and send one guy back while the others continue forward?
