Casting spells in the game or "miracles" requires worship power provided by your people in either worshipping (duh) or sacrifice (insert evil editorial laugh here). Casting them is a whole different story. You can either select them from your temple or can draw a specific design on the ground to cast a certain spell. The spell (provided you have enough power) becomes active in your hand. From there you can cast it, either by throwing it or just encircling the desired area of effect, depending on the spell.
