I ...was trying to think of ways to optimize the "areas" in NWN.
First off I think that when you go "inside" a building, it is in actuality another area...? That means that according to the specs we have been given, a 128MB computer could run 12 areas at the most. Not very helpful...
- Yes, the inside of each building will be a separate area. However all areas aren't created equal as far as RAM demands go, that will vary by area size, detail, and active AIs (NPCs, monsters, etc). So, several smaller inside areas would only take up as much resources as a single larger area for the most part.
