Neverwinter Nights Q&A

The gang over at VE have been lovingly suckled like a newborn calf from the team at BioWare, who's Trent "Gnome-basher" Oster, the lead designer for the upcoming RPG experience Neverwinter Nights gave them an interview with answers to a plethora of questions, including this one:

VE: BioWare sure is making a lot of games these days! With the Star Wars RPG, MDK PS2 stuff and Neverwinter Nights how many people does BioWare employ and do you ever fear that you’ ve over-extended yourselves by developing so many fine games?

Oster: Here at BioWare, we’ve refined the act of biting off more than we can chew into an art form. It’s what we thrive on and it’s what allows us to create landmark games like Baldur’s Gate and MDK2. You’ve got to know when to back off, of course, but if you don’t believe passionately in what it is you’re doing, you’re probably in the wrong industry. The game ideas that we’re working on have all been too good too pass up and we want to do everything we can to make them a reality. BioWare is currently hovering at around 100 employees or so - that’s a lot of dedication and a lot of talent to have in one place and we’re very grateful to have had the opportunity to bring these people together.

It's one of the games GameBanshee is most looking forward to and are proud to cover in our in-depth Neverwinter Nights' Villa.
