To give us a chance to try before we buy, Ubisoft has announced the availability of a free trial for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of South Park: The Fractured but Whole. The PC version isn't mentioned in the announcement, but if you're more included to play the console version anyway, the good news is that any progress you make in the trial will be carried over if you purchase the game:

Ubisoft reveals South Park: The Fractured But Whole free trial on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system available now. Designed to allow interested players a chance to sample the fascinating and addicting world of South Park, the trial will feature no alterations to gameplay, with the exception of a one hour playtime restriction. Upon completion, players will be given the option to purchase the full game. All player progress will be saved and carried over should they decide to purchase the full game.
