Sword Coast Legends Coming to Consoles in Spring, Rage of Demons DLC Free for Everyone

With a post on the official game website, the developers at n-Space have announced that Sword Coast Legends will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Spring. We already knew the title would get console versions for a while, but we didn't have a clear idea of the release window after the various delays the title went through.

The console versions will, as expected, get all the patches and community packs the game received on PC so far and will also get a handful of special items included in the PC Digital Deluxe edition, all for the price of $19.99. Furthermore, both PC and console versions will get the Rage of Demons DLC for free:

Sword Coast Legends will be available for purchase via the PlayStation®Store and Xbox Live at $19.99 USD for the Standard Edition and will come with all new content added to the game following its PC debut.

Some new features include: the drow as a new playable sub-race, additional character skill trees, hundreds of new placeable objects for DMs, new areas, new visual effects, hardcore gameplay options for the most rugged of adventurers, and much more.

The Standard Edition also includes special in-game items, such as: Tome of Knowledge, an Order of the Burning Dawn Cloak, Armor and Weapons, Beholder, Lost Mines dungeon tile set, and Wisps (DM use cursors).

Console and PC players can also look forward to the Rage of Demons DLC for free when it ships later this year.

Considering the Rage of Demons DLC was originally a pre-order bonus, I don't think getting it for free was ever a foregone conclusion, but given many features from the Community Pack 3 were rolled into the development of the DLC, it seems to me that this is the solution that makes the most sense.
