The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Gifting Disabled on GOG due to Frauds

In case you were intending to buy a friend a copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on GOG, you might have to wait for a while. The support page for the website states that gifting of the game and its expansion pass is currently disabled due to a large number of fraudulent transactions. Considering the anticipation surrounding this release and the rise of the grey market of game keys this doesn't strike me as surprising, but it is certainly disappointing:
Gifting of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt temporarily unavailable (fix in progress)
Due to a very large number of fraudulent transactions coming in, we have had to disable the gifting option for three items: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game + Expansion Pass.
We are working to clarify the problem and prevent further fraudulent transactions from being made.
We will make gifting possible once more as soon as this issue is resolved.
