Lords of Xulima Now Available on Linux, Mod Support Planned

The Numantian Games developers announced today that Lords of Xulima, their crowd-funded CRPG, is now available on Linux. In the interest of precision I'll mention that the Linux version of the game is currently only available on Steam, so, unfortunate as it may be, GOG users won't be able to download a DRM-free Linux build of the title for a little while longer. To celebrate the occasion, the title is 25% off on Steam.

In addition to that undoubtedly important announcement the latest Kickstarter update for the title also offers a look at the developers' plans to open up the title to the modding community. I have always been partial to mods that alter balance and rulesets, and it looks like the developers intend to make them possible for Lords of Xulima:

What's next? The Workshop

We are working on some modding options for Lords of Xulima. The first one will be the ability to modify rule sets in the game (classes, skills, enemies, encounters, zones...). Players will be able to create their own rule set and share it with the community.

Would you like to try a super fast LoX without random encounters, but you can only cure the party with potions? Or where Wyverns are roaming Velegarn and Gaulen is now a Pyromancer? There are endless possibilities!
