Vampyr Announced

Vampyr, an action-RPG from DONTNOD Entertainment, the French studio behind Remember Me and the upcoming Life is Strange, has been announced at a recent Focus Home Interactive press event in Paris. Details at the moment are very scarce (without this tweet from PR firm Dead Good Media, we probably wouldn't have learned of the game's existence, as no press release or statement was issued), but an article from a The Sixth Axis reporter who attended the event reveals the story concept for the game:

[O]ur reporter at the reveal event, good ol' Stefan, has stated the game is set just after World War One and players will take on the role of a doctor. He returns home while the Spanish Flu is going around, and is bitten by one of his patients. That bite transforms this doctor into a vampire.

Apparently the Y in the name relates to the choices in the game where the doctor faces moral quandaries as his doctor side tries to heal, while his vampire nature wants to kill and feed.

At the moment of this writing no information on the game's platforms, price, release date or gameplay mechanics have been divulged.
