Ultima Forever Closes on August 29th

Through a forum message, the remnants of the Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar team informed players that the free-to-play title will be shutting down on August 29th 11:00 AM EDT, which is actually fairly soon all things considered. Considering the really poor reception of the title and the disbanding of the team that developed it, I can't say I'm surprised though. Hopefully, if EA ever comes back to the Ultima franchise, they'll do it with a proper title that plays to the series' strength, otherwise it's better to let the venerable Origin series rest in peace.
