Dragon's Dogma Quest Announced for PSVita

I'm not sure how much it might interest our audience here at GameBanshee, but Siliconera is reporting that, through the pages of Japanese magazine Famitsu, Capcom has announced a free-to-play 2D online RPG for the PlayStation Vita portable platform, titled Dragon's Dogma Quest.

The title is a spin-off of the original Dragon's Dogma for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Details on the gameplay are extremely scarce, but it looks like a strategy title rather than an action-RPG, though it will make use of the same pawn system:
This week's issue of Famitsu magazine (via: Game Jouhou) says Dragon's Dogma Quest has over 150 jobs and is a fast-paced RPG you can play on the go. Famitsu says the player watches over the fights, issuing commands, and also levels up.

There's more of a focus on strategy than action in Dragon's Dogma Quest, but the game hopes to capture the spirit of Dragon's Dogma, where you decide your strategies based on the enemy's appearance.

Players can explore dungeons, towns, villages, and take on many sub-quests. You bring four of your pawns and can they can team up with four of your friends' pawns, too, so one party can have a maximum of eight characters.

Considering the Vita low install base and the relatively low success of the series in the West, you have to wonder whether Capcom will actually localize this.
