In case you want some fairly strong reasons to back the Divinity: Original Sin Kickstarter, Gamers Dissent has a 1-hour-long video preview of the title with producer David Walgrave. In practice this means plenty of gameplay footage of the pre-alpha version of the game, which is already looking pretty far along, with various quests, mechanics, item combinations, dialogue trees and more shown.

Of course, given that the game is still far from completion there are some missing icons, dialogues that need a rewrite and such, but that's par for the course for a title in pre-alpha.
