The Dark Triad: Dragon's Death Kickstarter Launched

It's with a warm feeling in my heart that I get to report about the birth of another promising Kickstarter RPG project - this one a lesser-known game we've covered in the past, The Dark Triad: Dragon's Death. The isometric turn-based RPG features a dark Gothic look that reminds of titles like Diablo, but promises hundreds of quests and a deep, engaging storyline. Considering it's helmed by some games industry veterans (responsible for everything from Splinter Cell to Age of Conan), we have quite a bit of faith in the title.  Of all the RPGs we've seen on Kickstarter lately, this one definitely ranks among the most hardcore as far as old-school features go.

Right now, the current goal is £80,000, and while only a few hundred pounds have rolled in so far, we hope to see that number climb very, very quickly. With 28 days left there's more than enough time to get this promising project off the ground.
The Dark Triad: Dragon's Death is a 3D-isometric, turn-based computer RPG with an amazing epic history and a fresh dynamic turn-based combat, developed by Autoloot Games Ltd., an indie studio formed by veteran industry game developers from Ubisoft, Gameloft, or Funcom to name a few, that have participated in the development of games such as Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Heroes of Sparta 2 or Prince of Persia among many others.

Game Features
  • A deep history with unexpected twists and many secrets to uncover.
  • Brutal and bloody turn-based combats. A brand new system where you define the degree of action & strategy and the speed of battles.
  • Choose among 8 different cool classes.
  • A brand new skills & specialty system. Customize your own builds.
  • Hundreds of quests & side quests, with non-boring intriguing dialogues.
  • A vast map for you to enjoy during tens of hours.
  • An incredible host of enemies for you to slash & crush.
  • Pets and Sacred Guardians to assist you in the heat of the battle.
  • Fully detailed characters and environments in 3D.
  • Items system with thousands of combinations and unique artifacts.
  • Epic Achievements.
  • Play extra-difficulty levels and challenge yourself against beastly elite bosses and enemies.
It's ambitious to be sure, but as the game is already well in development it's not surprising that Autoloot Games are looking to add all sorts of new features rather than focus on the fundamentals. If you like what you see, you can check out their Kickstarter page here.
