Dragon Age III: Inquisition Panel Details

During the course of a panel at Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo, which was live-tweeted by BioWare producer Cameron Lee, various members of the Dragon Age III team, including creative director Mike Laidlaw and executive producer Mark Darrah, have given some snippets of information on the upcoming title in the series.

A castle/stronghold will make a return and more customization was promised, among other things:
John Perry said he's had a longer pre-production on DA3 than any other BioWare project he's worked on.

...

Haha Mike "here's a castle... And you *cough*... may or may not take control of it"

...

JP said just one level in #DA3 is as big as all of DA2's levels

Mike: customization is going to be bigger than Dragon age origins. Follower customization etc.

...

Question: how much control will you have over your character... Mike "you will be human"

David answering "backgrounds will be in DA3 even though you will be human, it's not playable but it does significant impact on the story"

Question: will we see all DA2 followers? Answer: you may see what happened to some

...

"how will you handle save game import?" Mark: we will bring choices across, we're investigating some ways without save imports

...

Forgot this one! 2nd question: will Flemeth be in DA3? Mike: it feels wrong to not have a "little" Flemeth in your game *grin*

The BioWare Blog is also offering the first official concept art for Dragon Age III (although it's rather obvious that at least some of the concept art they've been showing post-DAII in the various panels held at cons is also DAIII concept art), which I imagine means they're slowly starting the PR cycle for the title.

Thanks, Kotaku.
