Fortune Online Going Offline on February 29th

Despite the fact that original Diablo designer David Brevik was at the helm, it appears that Gazillion's Fortune Online just couldn't gain enough traction to make it in the crowded world of free-to-play action RPGs. An announcement on the official website brings word that the game will shut down at the end of February, and due to the fact that the game was technically still in beta, they're going to refund all money that players spent on microtransactions:

Thank you for supporting Fortune Online. We are very proud of Fortune and all of the development team's accomplishments, especially the changes that were implemented based on the community's feedback. We hope that you have enjoyed playing Fortune Online and that it has provided you with some entertainment along the way.

Unfortunately these things don't last forever, and the time has come to move on. So it is with great regret that we must inform you that Fortune Online will shut down on February 29th, 2012.

If our records show that you have made a purchase in the game at any point, you will be receiving a full refund shortly to the payment method you used.
