We don't have a full-on press release to quote just yet, but according to an email we received this afternoon from Deep Silver's Aubrey Norris, Techland's Dead Island has gone gold and will be on store shelves in North America on its expected release date of September 6th.

Looking forward to leveling up a character by shooting, stabbing, and hacking apart zombies with your friends?  Then you should check out the co-op gameplay trailer that was released for the game earlier today.
