GamePlanet offers a video interview with lead producer Craig Lafferty, which covers different based in discussing dragons, the player motivations, the game's scope. This shouldn't surprise anyone, but Lafferty confirms there will be no demo.
No, we won't be doing a demo. For a game of this size and complexity, it's really hard to do a demo the represents the game.
