Deus Ex: Human Revolution

As disappointments go, Deus Ex's sequel was up there with The Phantom Menace in the (WTF were they thinking?) stakes but this game promises to deliver the true spiritual successor to one of the finest shooter-RPGs ever made. Open-ended, do-what-you-want gameplay in a conspiracy-ridden dark cyberpunk future and, well, lots of skulking through ventilation shafts we can't wait.
Dungeon Siege III
PS3/PC/Xbox 360 - out 17th June
With Diablo 3 still some time away, Dungeon Siege III is here to fulfil your clicky action-RPG needs. It's from the makers of Fallout: New Vegas too, so should boast a better story than the last two Dungeon Sieges not to mention the awful Jason Statham movie based on the series.
While Techsmart recommends Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Dead Island in their top 5, and also mentions The Witcher 2 and Dungeon Siege III:
4. Dead Island
After having wowed the world with its heart stirring cinematic trailer, Dead Island has become one of the hottest properties on this year's gaming calender, even though it reuses the old zombie premise. Unlike other ammunition spewing undead shooters, Dead Island aims to take gamers on a much scarier, and (true to life) zombie experience, if that makes sense. The game takes place on the fictional resort island of Banoi, but instead of enjoying a relaxing holiday players forced to utilise anything they can to try and survive. During the game players will have to depend on weapon's they find around the island, meaning hammers, metal pipes and other odds and ends will have to be utilised more often. Your weapons will also break down over time, and can be combined to form more powerful items. The first person shooter will feature four player co-op, an open world and even some RPG elements.

The Witcher 2 Another title which will be available by the time you read this, The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings is the sequel to 2007's surprisingly epic The Witcher. Based on the novel series of the same name, the Witcher 2 will again see players take on the role of Geralt, one of the last remaining witchers as he battles unnatural monsters as well as his own morality.
