Admiral Steven Hackett, commanding officer of the Systems Alliance's Fifth Fleet, is one of the most powerful humans in the galaxy. Based at the Alliance Navy's headquarters on Arcturus Station, Admiral Hackett's ability to get a job done at any cost inspires loyalty and earns the respect and admiration of the Alliance's armed forces. Hackett takes a particular interest in Shepard's actions and safety, believing the Commander to be essential in safeguarding the future of the human race. Hackett was one of the group responsible for nominating Shepard as the first human Spectre, and he makes a point of maintaining communication with the Commander, even when rumors surfaced that Shepard had defected to Cerberus.Does it bother you that Lance Henriksen voices both Hacket and master Gnost-Dural?
Hackett's Fifth Fleet fought in the Battle of the Citadel, defending the heart of galactic civilization from attack by Sovereign and the geth, and demonstrating that the Alliance had a role to play in protecting the galaxy at large. As a result, the admiral wields immense power on the galactic stage, on par with Ambassador Donnel Udina and Admiral David Anderson. While he does not always agree with the Alliance Parliament, his loyalty and dedication to the Systems Alliance is unquestionable.
