Ectoplasm locations

Post by killty »

I am very new at this game. I am trying to get the drunks some work and need 5 samples of ectoplasm. I found 1 in a chest somewhere but need 4 more. Lindai looked promising because it is populated by skeletons and zombies, but no luck there. What ruins would anyone suggest to get the ghosts and wraiths I need to get my samples?

I may be wrong, but I think those monsters spawn at higher levels (again, not sure how higher). Your best bet would be to either level or search the containers.

You could try the wreck of the Emma May, on the opposite side of the river, and to the south, from Bravil.

The Forlorn Watchman quest, a side quest you can pick up in Bravil, will lead you to the location, it can be a tough fight, so go well tooled. Seek Gilgondorin at Silverhome on the Water in Bravil, to start the quest.

spoiler alert

I know a good source, but it's related to a quest and the presence of the ghosts (or wraiths, depending on your level) is supposed to be a surprise so this is a major spoiler for that quest:
Spoiler
go to Anvil, ask about rumors, and talk to the guy about buying a house. The spoiler is the reason he sells it so cheap is that it's haunted.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Just be careful when hunting for ghosts since you can only damage them with spells or magic effects on weapons.
