Need Help!!!

I'm stuck in the pillar room of Trial of the Ancient Elders, I made it to 2 rooms up top and stepped on the pressure plates, but the pillar is still too tall to jump to I just keep falling to the floor. I have been in here forever and am just about to give up. Please Help soon. thanx TooTall

FWIW, you could try reading [url="http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/dungeon-lords-93/trial-of-the-ancient-elders-67768.html"]this thread[/url]. I don't think there's a good answer in there, but there are some things you could try.

Make sure that you have stepped on both pressure plates.

Make sure that you have a 4 in athletics.

Basically once you have the pillar grouping to the 3rd room at the right height (which should be a little higher than your character), THEN..

Move forward and push the jump button once your first foot is just off of the pillar. (..its pretty much a rapid succession - and sometimes you can just push the forward key and the jump button simultaneously while standing in the middle of the pillar top.)

Basically you hit the ledge and pull yourself up like you do when climbing anything. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T push any buttons while it is doing the "climbing" portion.

Your welcome! And a good holiday season to you as well!

Also note that there will be a couple of areas that are radically more difficult with regard to gaming dexterity (..a few spots in the Naga Temple and the Deadroth Temple, and several in the Shadow Ruins.) With some searching here at the forums you should be able to come up with the answers when you run into these problems, though in most instances its a matter of using the Celestial spell - Time.

Still need help again!!!!

:speech: I am new to this game and to a computer, and once again I am stuck in the Ulm main level, I acidentally closed the door at 12, and I also made the mistake of saving after this, now I can't open it or find my way to get anywhere. Any help? I appreciate all the help you have given me already. But I could use some more.

(heck, I didn't even know that you could close the gate door and not open it again).

Due to bugs and other sillyness, it's very important to keep a minimum of 2 save slots in use and save very frequently while alternating between them. There is a problem in dungeons and other areas where doors only have locks or switches on the outside. If you accidently hit the action button to pick stuff up while running through the door, it will close behind you and you're stuck for good. You have to reload a save from before you got stuck in there.

Yeah, you can *accidentally* close doors by pressing SHIFT when you are underneath a door. I haven't done it personally, but I've read posts from other users who have.

@ TooTall: Have you tried using a HEX Editor? Maybe that would help. (I think there's a link to one in the sticky thread regarding the game editor at the top of the page. I haven't actually checked that out yet. So don't blame me if I'm wrong, OK?

*EDIT* There is a HEX Editor in the savefile editor at the top of the page. I checked it out, and maybe that would help you out, TooTall. It wouldn't hurt to try!

yep i realy realy realy have to admite that i'v been through all that stuff including the shadow ruins, and to the tell the truth the shadow ruins was the worst kick in the butt,cuz u have to activate 4 rune images (to get to nuseloum or something like that i'm not sure how to spell his name.) and theres alot of fighting in there alot of shadow wraiths, undead templer, shadow beasts, stone statues, and whats even worse is some of the puzzles
like the chess puzzle, the water way is not realy a puzzle but it took me around a good hour,and well u probabley get my drift by now but yea, i
still have to addmite with scottg yet again lol no complaints i mean, he or she
is like a realy big knolege base rofl i just wish i could have his or hers abillity to do that kind of stuff, but i don't i'm just a game freak that plays games to much and gets to know the whole game by heart, then go into real life tornements with realy expensive computers, and just play for the fun of it and maybe some monney lol.
