Need help with mages quest

There is a mages quest where i have to go to dark fissure ( I think thats the name ) and at night i have to watch a necromancer worm create dark soul gems..............

On 1 site it said about watching him create the gems anytime on thursday night.

I waited until thursday night behind a stone near the altar for 1 hour at a time but he never came out and then i waited for the next night and did the same but nevertheless he didn't come out.

Can anyone help me with what i nweed to do?

Clear out the dungeon first I'd suggest, you don't have to watch someone else do it, you can use the alter yourself. The night varies, the alter gets lit from above on the right night, but as the stars rotate out of sync with the rotation of the planet, it's never the same night two weeks running.

Once you've cleared the dungeon, wait by the alter at, say 11pm, look up, if a ray of light isn't beaming down on the alter, wait for 24 hours, check again, rinse and repeat until it appears. Place 1 or more grand soul gems in the alter, and cast soul trap on the alter once for each gem. Your journal should update when you succeed.

first of all you should know that the moon comes into place to create the dark soul gems once a week. depends on every game which day. it usually starts around 11 pm. you don't need to loot the cave. just wait for the right night to come. it may be during day. I'm not sure. for me it was at night. the fifth of waiting. so don't despair. just wait. keep an eye out for the light falling on the altar starting from 11 pm.
