Dead Nations exp glitch

Post by Cassten »

Last time I played Torment I surley remember being able to collect the 7500 exp earned from the Silent King dealings twice. I'm pretty sure that I first convinced Hargrim to release myself (7500 exp) and afterward used the portal near Stale Mary to get another 7500exp. Now however, I ain't able to receive the latter as the ingame movie does not take place. Anyone else who has experienced this glitch before and knows how to correctly prompt it?

*Spoilerific*

Getting out of the Dead Nations is composed of either two quests from Hargrimm or one meet the Silent King from Stale Mary. There are several contingencies. The first is that if you complete either the two quests for Hargrimm and claim your reward, then you will not spawn the Silent King cutscene (because you have already gotten permission to get out of the Dead Nations). The second is if you meet the Silent King first, then you won't get a chance to ask Hargrimm for permission to exit the Dead Nations.
In order to clear both exit paths (thus netting you 7500 xp twice), you first need to complete one of Hargrimms quests (any order works), ask for the second quest, and then meet the Silent King before you claim the second quest results. After you meet the Silent King, return to Hargrimm to claim reward for your second quest.
While you're down there, you might as well tell Many-As-One all about the Silent King for the recovered memory. The collective my go into a rage, but you can beat it senseless after 20 waves or so of cranium rats thrown at you. Being a mage, Many-As-One actually runs out of spells to cast :)

Thanks, I shall try that. Altough, first time it worked for me the 7500exp were just "gliding" along as I told Hargrimm about the missions (however I didn't receive the journal update from Hargrimm to let me go). And yes, I knew about that part with Many-as-One. But I believe in my last game I had to kill off the twice amount of that. :D
