Umbra (SPOILERS)

Post by XxBlitzkriegxX »

I have heard a lot about how great Umbra is and how hard she is to kill, but...

Where the hell is she?

I can't find her for anything.
I know everything about Morrowind.

Everything.

Hey! Put a SPOILER in thread titles like this, just as the sticky thread says, or you could end up losing your posting privileges.

I'll change this one.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

She's part of the Clavicus Vile Shrine quest. I'd go about getting to her that way :)
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

Since spoiler has already been posted now, I'll let you in on a little secret. ;)

I got Umbra when I was at Level 10. :D Just happened to find the place and she gave me a lot of grief for a long time. BUT, I used a 'carry-over' tactic I learned in Morrowind and defeated her. It took me a while to get the sword to where I could actually use it. BUT, it's been immensely helpful ever since.

Maybe I'll give it up when/if the time comes, but, that could be forever. ;)

Just defeated Umbra last night at Level 7. Buy a nice staff; jump up the pillar where she can't touch you, summon something to keep her entertained... after 5 clicks, you get her nice sword and armor.

spoiler.
she's southwest of imperial city, in ayleid ruin. easy kill if u get a staff or, as i did at lvl 5, enchant a bow with firedamage 5p over 5 sec and fireweakness 25% over 5 sec and jump up a pillar and shoot away. (i had marksman skill of only 10 btw) did send 2 scamps at here too.
if u wait for the quest and dont return the sword (thats what ur supposed to) and keep it for yourself it will go from weight 0 to 45... so kill her before u get the quest, if u must do the quest that is

I don't know the name of the ruin (something with a V), but if you follow the road west from the imperial city then head south and eventually southeast it should be right on the right side of the road.

I really didn't find Umbra hard in the least, I think i beat her at something like level three just by backpeddling and hitting her with spells.

Trick question. I have all of Umbra's armor, so presumably I beat him/her. I don't have the sword. Could I have gained the armor without the sword, or have I sold the sword in the past and forgotten it?
