help on warren4? stuck w/ spoilers

My tremere went through entire level w/o picking up pass key and killed everything, then found pass key but the enter command wouldn't work when standing infront of the computer; The icon still had that red lock in front. So I started again from the 1st room and followed the walkthrough, seeing the nosferatu battle (very briefly) the belials,got pass key but still no work. Any help out there?

hmmm....this same thing happened to me(twice, on 2 seperate games), but it ended up that the first I went through, thinking I was grabbing the passkey, I really didn't. The second time it happened, I double checked for the pass key, and when I saw that I had it and it still didn't work, I just saved in front of the thing and reloaded. It then worked, with no console required(though if that still doesn't work, you could always use a teleport console command to the next area). Hope this helps

warren4 bug

Yeah I tried saving and reloading several times to no avail, I even tried a3rd time backing up to warren 3 definitely had passkey etc. My 1st major bug! (andI already have patch)But I'm unsure how to teleport and can't find here. I,ve opened up properties and am on shortcut; I've clicked onto "find target" and opened the "Vampire" folder, looked at both "graphs" and "maps". But I don't know what I'm doing. Can U help guide me rest of the way? And thanx for your quick response.

okay i got the console mode going. The console reads, "main_module has no attribute 'check for passkey' file <string> line1 in7 which seems to describe why my passkey won't work. I found the transport_player command but cant figure out how to actually make it work; I hit accept but nothing really happens. I'm working hard at this and am learning slowly but surely. Any help Showoffjp? Anybody? I feel so close I can taste the blood

I tried noclip and ended up in the waist-deep water room at the bottom of the tunnel that my passkey's supposed to open up but there's no exits andthe next warren level5 is not visible during noclip (only level4). I found the give_item warren4 passkey in console (THANX ACLEASIUS!) and tried again but that #&*% red lock icon is always blockj my action. Still stuck- please help?

crap...and I thought for sure that console command would work. This is an extremely strange bug, as if you missed something or didn't trigger a switch or something like that...are you sure you didn't miss anything? I have no clue why none of the things you have tried have not worked. If all else fails, you could always just redo the entire warrens area now that you have the patched installed and all that stuff. You could start right before you enter into level one of them. Though that does have a 50/50 chance of working, I wouldn't try that unless you have time to spare or are just desperate. Again, it seems like it would be an easy fix, but apparently it's not. There might have been something the game developers missed in their patch that the unofficial one covered? I dunno. Good luck with that(If you could by chance find the quest trigger or switch for the door in the console by just looking at the long list of all the commands, you could probably just manually open it. But I would try even re-doing the warrens before attempting that).

The warrens are somewhat odd anyway, at least before the patch. With my first character there was a whole area I never got to see, he just bypassed it. Specifically the area between the garbage shredders and the water tanks.

Maybe I'm stupid with the download of the official patch (this is distinctly possible) and did it wrong. I downloaded it early in the game. I'm gonna try again.This is my first major bug like this

It is driving me crazy but what the heck- redo warrens? Its startj to look that way. Any ideas W/ teleport command?

Final note: I must've downloaded patch wrong 1st time - maybe by opening in temporary files rather than saving in the vampire folder and opening from there. I dunno. I made it though. I ran around the entire grounds [B]again[/b] and then The Icon finally showed the key automatically and all is good now. Unfortunately I can't remember for sure if I tried the key before I ran around everywhere again, but yeah I'm betting it was my patch not done right. Glad this happened - I was forced to learn a lot. heh...it's kinda ironic that it was something as simple as the patch not installing correctly. Glad you finally got it working though. Enjoy!
