The Return of the Throwers...

Post by Nippy »

A post in the Dartboard Thread reminded me of a certain thread of a long time ago. I would like to remind everyone about this so that we may discuss...

*Drum Roll*

Dwarven Throwers!

A question to begin the debate; The use of throwing Halfling's was difficult and dangerous, because?

Research is expected, as is Fable's input. It is mainly he and I that remain from the old school thrower thread.

Well... it is dangerous because the halfling in question could pick your pocket while you're aiming, and difficult 'cos the hobbit wannabe's hand might get stuck in your pocket and thus causing to rip the halfling's arm off as well as your pants.

I think I'll bump the Dwarven throwers thread, so everyone can have access to this most august and serious of debates. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Hmmm, Al raises a good point that many people neglected, the natural roguish nature inherent in Halfer's. However, many people raised the point that a Halfling bribed with food makes an exceptional projectile, do you agree, anyone?

Being the man of lyrical knowledge heres lyrics to a song I dont believe I have ever heard, but I have heard of it: Dwarf Throwing by The Slamheads

Dwarf Throwing

Chorus:
Just how far can you throw
a flying dwarf that doesn't know your name?
We're anxious to show
a brand new sport, come join our lofty game

Listen well and you'll hear them say
"Oh, it hurts when I fall but I love the pay"

When they hit they might bounce up
or they might leave skid-marks on the floor
Their pads and helmets stop the pain
and they walk back here to be thrown some more

(Chorus)

George was a miniature pilot and friend
Once launched by a champion he met his life's end
Our friend George has met his end

(Chorus)

:D
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.
